Thy will be done, thy kingdom come ( Mathew 6:9-13)// it takes a lot to say those words and mean them. God’s will can be scary. You know it’s good because He says His plans are for good not for evil( Jeremiah 29:11) but it is hard for us as humans to surrender. We like being in charge, in control of everything and everyone. We like knowing that the choice is up to us. We hate submitting to authority. Saying thy will be done just means that you are giving it all to God,ALL. That you are submitting to His authority and letting Him take the wheel. That your desires take the back burner and you are focusing on God; His will and His desires. It means you are letting go of all your preconceived notions, expectations and conditions. You are letting God be God. That can be scary and crazy. It’s admitting that your life is not your own, that your mind is not your own. That you can do nothing without Him. And yet we know that we can count on God, on His grace and everlasting love. I mean, if He gave His son’s life for us, how much more can He give? ( Romans 8:32)And do you think it would be bad things? No! However much life tells you otherwise, the bibles says He will lead us beside still waters, He will restore your soul. (PS 23) . God does not want you to struggle, to lead you through fire or to beg. He wants us to surrender, our all, and then He will lead us through His path, with His strength, not ours. So today, just let God be God over your life and let him take control. It’s not about you, it’s about Him. Not by your strength or even faith, it’s by the spirit of God. Have a blessed day. Kenah.
